Kappa Kappa Psi is the national brother organization of Tau Beta Sigma. The Alpha Omega chapter of KKPsi at the University of Pittsburgh works closely with TBS Gamma Omega on service and social events between the organizations and for Pitt Band. One of Kappa’s main functions is to assist in recruiting incoming freshmen to Pitt Band during prospective student events. They also do service for the community by volunteering at local marching band and indoor guard and drumline competitions. We are so fortunate to have such an amazing brother chapter at our university!
Mu Kappa Upsilon is an honorary marching band fraternity at the University of Pittsburgh. It consists of those who decide to commit themselves to support the marching band through assistance in day-to-day workings. Many of their duties include: loading and unloading the truck for game day with all of our game day accessories, helping band members load and unload buses for away trips, and keeping track of the Pitt Band’s instruments along with assisting band members with instrument repairs. Mu Kappa Upsilon is an essential part of the band’s game day routine, and we are glad that we have them to support our band!
